I want to thank you in a very
special way for all the help you have given me through the use of the
Alpha-Stim 100 unit. I would also like to share with you what actually
transpired prior to your suggesting that microcurrent electrical stimulation
would be worth a try.
This past year of my life has been a challenge, to say the least. In fact, a
number of things were making my life miserable. I was becoming extremely
fatigued. My work in construction was very physical and at the end of the
work day I would come home and collapse. In addition, I was experiencing
tremendous joint pain and muscular spasms of the neck and upper torso as
well as intense headaches, accompanied by severe ringing in my ears. This
condition mirrored the way I felt in 1990-91 when I was treated for Lyme
Disease through I.V. therapy using 3 to 4 antibiotics over a period of 10
months.
My search for the cause of all this led to the Neurologist. He prescribed a
set of MRI's to search for a brain tumor. Fortunately, these tests were
negative. Next we went to the ENT. A series of hearing tests revealed no
hearing loss. In spite of these findings, an antibiotic was prescribed. I
took the antibiotic for the duration however the symptoms continued.
It was now the New Year and I went back to the Neurologist. The next
prescribed test was a Brain Stem Test which yielded negative results. The
Neurologist, thoroughly stymied, recommended a Spinal Tap in search for an
auto-immune disease such as Lyme or Multiple Sclerosis. Ironically, I was
hoping for a positive result just to end the severe frustration of not
knowing what was going on with my body. At this point in time, I was also
preparing to file for disability insurance as the symptoms were becoming
worse.
In the course of doing some intense soul-searching, I concluded that
traditional medicine is woefully inadequate in determining problems that are
apart from the ordinary. Since I have always been an advocate of health
through nutrition, I decided to consult with an M.D. General Practitioner
who approached everything through nutrition. This M.D. diagnosed Tinnitus
and also advised me on some health/weight issues. At the same time this was
happening, you and I ran into each other. After sharing these experiences
with you, you seemed to grasp my situation and completely related to my
frustrations through your experiences as a Speech Pathologist and
Audiologist. So when you suggested my trying the Alpha-Stim 100, I was most
open to the potential for some improvement of my condition.
After our 2nd session with the Alpha-Stim, I no longer had dizziness. All
muscle spasms and tics disappeared following the 3rd session and I am
overjoyed to tell you that following a total of 8 sessions, the Tinnitus has
been reduced to just a faint ringing that is experienced very early in the
morning upon awakening; however when I arise from bed the ringing
disappears. Thank God for you and the Alpha-Stim because it has literally
changed my life for the better. Also, my endurance is much greater because a
new job has recently started, sometimes requiring 16-18 hour work days. This
will normalize soon, but in the meantime I know that I can do it. Three
months ago this would not have been possible.
